Body Type Test (Quiz) Results 1053 – Body Type Four (BT4) Female (Woman), Millennial (Generation Y)

Fellow One Research, The Four Body Types Body Type Quiz/Test Participant Maria Bivol Bio Summary – Body Type Four (BT4)

I have studied The Four (4) Body Types and it is my understanding that I am a Body Type Four (BT4). Obesity has moderately been a problem in my life. My obesity problems started in my life between age 20 and age 24. I was at my heaviest weight when I reached 210 pounds at age 25. The most weight I ever lost was 70 pounds when I was 20. I have not been successful at keeping all that weight off to date. I gained back 47 of those pounds in a span of 12 month(s).

My ride on the obesity weight gain & loss management roller coaster ride has been moderately severe. If/when I put fat weight on my body, it is most likely that I will put the fat weight on in relation to: upper leg/front thighs, upper leg/inner thighs, upper leg/back thighs, upper leg/outer thighs, buttocks, lower midriff/waist/hips, midriff/abdomen/belly, upper midriff/diaphragm, upper chest/pectoral/breast, shoulders, upper arms/front/biceps, upper arms/back/triceps, inner upper arms/under arms, front elbows, back elbows, outer lower arms, inner lower arms, upper back, middle back, lower back, lower side trunk/love handles, upper side trunk, neck, face, as accurately as I can figure. I attribute mostly my unbalanced diet to my weight problems. On average, obesity is somewhat/questionably common in my family.

Upon careful examination of my spine, vertebra(e) (posture), and muscles/muscle mass, I am confident that the following vertebra(e) in my body are genetically underdeveloped if not undeveloped: cervical 2, cervical 3, thoracic 1 thoracic 2, thoracic 3, thoracic 4, thoracic 5, thoracic 6, thoracic 7, thoracic 8, thoracic 9, thoracic 10, thoracic 11, thoracic 12, lumbar 1, lumbar 2, lumbar 3, lumbar 4, lumbar 5, sacrum, as best I can surmise. I am confident I am a Body Type Four (BT4) because I have between eighteen (18) and twenty-six (26) vertebrae undeveloped. I am quite sure my body does not look identical to a Body Type One (BT1) with all muscles developed & defined. My body has not always had the fully developed BT1 classic arch, dimples, vertebrae (posture), and muscle mass. I am certain I do not have the fully developed BT1 classic arch and dimples, which strengthens my belief I'm not a BT1.

What Does My Body Type Four (BT4) Mean?

Life is all about balance. Unbalance allows a human being to truly understand balance by recognizing, honestly, what their unbalances truly are. All be it some more than others, all human beings are unbalanced physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually, at least to some extent. But most human beings are very unbalanced and unhealthy. The more unbalanced the body type (BT4 is the most unbalanced body type), including metabolism, the more physical work the specific individual person has to do to bring their human body into a state of true physical balance (BT1).

Body Type One (BT1): Physically balanced (Anatomy Standard).

*Fully developed vertebrae, spinal extension (posture), and muscle. *33 out of 33 Vertebrae Developed and Extended, relative to the 24 Moveable & Two Fixed Bones (0 Vertebrae Undeveloped/Underdeveloped) *Very Low to Low probabilities of experiencing obesity in the short and long-terms. *High tendencies to be symmetrical. *Skinny fat is unlikely. *Mental (mind), emotional (energy in motion), and spiritual (soul/soul energy/star power/IT Factor) balance matters equally as much as physical (body/genetics/DNA) balance.

Body Type Two (BT2): Less Physically Balanced.

*Mostly developed vertebrae, spinal extension (posture), and muscle. *32 to 22 out of 33 Vertebrae Developed and Extended, relative to the 24 Moveable & Two Fixed Bones (1-8 Vertebrae Undeveloped/Underdeveloped) *Low to Medium probabilities of experiencing obesity in the short and long-terms. *Moderate tendencies to be symmetrical. *Skinny fat is likely. *Mental (mind), emotional (energy in motion), and spiritual (soul/soul energy/star power/IT Factor) balance matters equally as much if not more (to make up for physical unbalances) while the BT2 person is achieving to physical (body/genes/DNA) balance.

Body Type Three (BT3): More Physically Unbalanced.

*Moderate to mostly undeveloped vertebrae, spinal extension (posture), and muscle. *21 to 11 out of 33 Vertebrae Developed and Extended, relative to the 24 Moveable & Two Fixed Bones (9-17 Vertebrae Undeveloped/Underdeveloped) *Medium to High probabilities of experiencing obesity in the short and long-terms. *Moderate tendencies to be asymmetrical. *Skinny fat is very likely. *Mental (mind), emotional (energy in motion), and spiritual (soul/soul energy/star power/IT Factor) balance matters even more (to make up for physical unbalances) while the BT3 person is achieving to physical (body/genetics/DNA) balance.

Body Type Four (BT4): Mostly to Fully Physically Unbalanced.

*Mostly to completely undeveloped vertebrae, spinal extension (posture), and muscle. *10 to 0 out of 33 Vertebrae Developed and Extended, relative to the 24 Moveable & Two Fixed Bones (18-26 Vertebrae Undeveloped/Underdeveloped) *High to Very High probabilities of experiencing obesity in the short and long-terms. *High tendencies to be asymmetrical. *Skinny fat is extremely likely. *Mental (mind), emotional (energy in motion), and spiritual (soul/soul energy/star power/IT Factor) balance matters even that much more (to make up for physical unbalances) while the BT4 person is achieving to physical (body/genes/DNA) balance.

I believe my daily diet is unhealthy overall. I would say my diet is carnivore-leaning omnivore. I eat 4 meals per day but they are not all nutritionally balanced; I am likely not getting all my nutrients. I eat mostly fast/processed/junk food. I drink alcohol once to a few times per month following the recommended 1 glass/day women/2 per day men. I drink the equivalent of 4-6, 8 ounce glasses of clean water daily and am slightly to moderately dehydrated.

    Hi Maria:

Thanks for your Fellow One Research Participant, The Four Body Types’ Free Body Type Quiz/Test Calculator submission.

Please carefully review the above post.

After reviewing your Body Type Quiz data and images it appears you are a Body Type Four (BT4) with at least likely underdeveloped cervical 2, cervical 3, thoracic 1 thoracic 2, thoracic 3, thoracic 4, thoracic 5, thoracic 6, thoracic 7, thoracic 8, thoracic 9, thoracic 10, thoracic 11, thoracic 12, lumbar 1, lumbar 2, lumbar 3, lumbar 4, lumbar 5, and sacrum vertebrae. Your BT1 Classic Arch and Dimples do not look fully developed. Being a BT4 is supported by your statements, "If/when I put fat weight on my body, it is most likely that I will put the fat weight on in relation to: upper leg/front thighs, upper leg/inner thighs, upper leg/back thighs, upper leg/outer thighs, buttocks, lower midriff/waist/hips, midriff/abdomen/belly, upper midriff/diaphragm, upper chest/pectoral/breast, shoulders, upper arms/front/biceps, upper arms/back/triceps, inner upper arms/under arms, front elbows, back elbows, outer lower arms, inner lower arms, upper back, middle back, lower back, lower side trunk/love handles, upper side trunk, neck, face, as accurately as I can figure." and "After reviewing my body, I am experiencing and/or have experienced skinny fat including thin fat, cellulite, crepey skin, loose/saggy skin, and/or normal weight obesity, in general, relative to: upper leg/front thighs, upper leg/inner thighs, upper leg/back thighs, upper leg/outer thighs, buttocks, lower midriff/waist/hips, midriff/abdomen/belly, upper midriff/diaphragm, upper chest/pectoral/breast, shoulders, upper arms/front/biceps, upper arms/back/triceps, inner upper arms/under arms, front elbows, back elbows, outer lower arms, inner lower arms, upper back, middle back, lower back, lower side trunk/love handles, upper side trunk, neck, face, as far as I can tell." along with "I feel back aches and pains in my body in relation to: thoracic 5, thoracic 6, thoracic 7, lumbar 4, lumbar 5,...". Things are further supported by your high risk BMI.

    Please answer the following:

Looking at the BT1 Dimples and Classic Arch here https://fellowone.com/fellow-one-research/the-four-body-types/

    A. On a scale of 1-10, 10 being 100% fully developed, how Developed are your Body Type One (BT1) Dimples?
    B. On a scale of 1-10, 10 being 100% fully developed, how Developed is your Body Type One (BT1) Classic Arch?

All the years of your life, from 0-27, should be clearly represented in your answers in a range of years (For Example: If you are a 24 year old Body Type Two (BT2), but were a BT1 early on in your life, but then became a BT2, then you would answer with something like — BT1 = 0-17 years, BT2 = 18-24, years). After double-checking the images here https://fellowone.com/fellow-one-research/the-four-body-types/

    C. What years of your life did you look like a Body Type One (BT1), if any?
    D. What years of your life did you look like a Body Type Two (BT2), if any?
    E. What years of your life did you look like a Body Type Three (BT3), if any?
    F. What years of your life did/have you looked like a Body Type Four (BT4)?

    G. On a scale of 1-10, 10 being 100% True, True or False? Every human body is born the same, with the same muscle mass and development, as per every Standard Science/Scientific Human Body Anatomy Book Body Type One (BT1). Obesity and/or skinny fat (thin fat, cellulite, crepey skin, loose skin, saggy skin, normal weight obesity) are solely/only about poor diet, laziness/no exercise, and unhealthy lifestyle habits.

    H. On a scale of 1-10, 10 being 100% True, True or False? The spine/vertebrae (posture) & muscle/muscle mass are main, vital components in the scaffolding, structure, & metabolism of the human body as well as it’s balance, health, & appearance, no less, and directly affects body type (one of The Four Body Types).

    I. On a scale of 1-10, 10 being 100% True, True or False? Mainstream science and medical doctors are right, all any human being has to do to lose weight & look like a Standard Scientific Human Anatomy Book Body Type One (BT1) is reduce daily calorie intake & increase daily calorie burn.

Subject: Sugar Flu Symptoms - Is it Withdrawal from Not Eating Sugar?

I don’t know how real is it, but for a few days I was feeling really bad and flu-like, I was thinking only about sweets, I couldn’t cheat because I don’t have any sweets at home and I don't want to. My husband is supporting me and helping. Is there anyway to get rid of my symptoms? I am proud of my success and don’t want to stop 🛑

Congratulations on your weight loss success so far. Yes, the "sugar flu" is another term for withdrawal symptoms from cutting sugar out of your diet. No easy task (but well worth it once achieved). Organic stevia can help, in moderation, for most people (unless you are allergic in some way). If you can get organic liquid stevia, it is best. Squeeze a drop on your tongue, swish around with some water, then wash down with some more water. NOTE: depending on the product, the taste of stevia can vary wildly. You can even do a dash of lemon, lime, or some other whole fruit juice to liven things up a bit.

As for the sugar flu, the short of the long is, withdrawal symptoms can be similar to the cold or flu. They can include cravings for sweet or high-calorie foods, headaches, nausea, light-headedness, dizziness, bloating. stomach cramps, lack of energy, muscle aches, depression, irritability, bad mood, anxiety, sleep disruption, cognitive issues, intestinal upset, and/or the like. For some people, sugar withdrawal can even cause allergy- or sinus-infection-type symptoms including excessive mucus, constant runny nose, cough, etc.

How long symptoms last depends on your level of addiction to sugar relative to your specific body chemistry. Some people find that their symptoms last a few days, others find it is more like a couple of weeks. Give it some time.

The fact is, sugar causes a release of endorphins in the brain. Endorphins are your body’s natural opioids. It is likely that your body craves these extra opioids when they’re gone, causing withdrawal symptoms. Sugar also causes a release of dopamine, which plays a significant part in habit formation. Most people fail to realize that, by definition, sugar is a drug -- and when abused (which is common) really no different than and destructive to the human body as heroin, cocaine, nicotine, alcohol, etc.

OMG, I had almost all of this symptoms, and now I have allergy also and I haven’t eat anything new! All the products I am eating now I was eating my whole life! I want to post a picture but the camera doesn’t show those little red points.

For 3 days already it’s around 79 kg and not going down. Also look at my allergy reaction. I have read that it can be when on diet but don’t know if it’s true and how it comes? I haven’t used new products, no medicine and so on!

Ah, yes, a rash. Just to clarify, have you ever experienced such a rash before?

On a scale of 1-10, 10 being 100% certain, how certain are you that the rash is occurring solely because of "sugar flu" withdrawal symptoms?

As for the weight loss slowing, that is actually normal. Especially relative to having more fat weight on the body, it is common to see significant progress at the start and then have weight loss slow as time passes. It will likely become harder to lose weight as you progress, which is why 2 pounds per week is the typical safe average.

Properly adding muscle can definitely help improve metabolism, no less -- muscle by its very nature burns more calories at rest and in general.

1, I have never had such rash, I am not even allergic! I remember just once 3 years ago when I was breastfeeding my first child I eat a pice smoked salmon and my son got rash, but it disappeared in a day!

Ok, just to be clear, a 1 means that you are 100% certain it is NOT related to the "sugar flu" withdrawal symptoms. True?

If so, what do you think might be causing the rash?

Maybe something like toxins getting out, or my body can’t digest or forget how to digest complex food. Like I am not consuming anymore easy to digest carbs. I really don’t know. Just building theories.

Hi, so my allergy went really bad so I decided to go to the hospital and after all researches the doctor said I have it because of constipation. When I decided to change my diet and eating habits my body could follow up with me. After laxatives it’s going better, everything is disappearing slowly, but I still have constipation and can’t go without laxatives. Any advise on this?

After going through your diary entries, it appears you are getting plenty of water and that on some days you are getting a good amount of fiber from vegetables, oatmeal, and the like. Others it is hard to tell. For your smoothies, you are using a solid amount of whole fruit?

Try to increase your daily fiber intake with more fruits, vegetables, and whole grains.

It could simply be your body's short-term reaction to a new diet and losing 13 pounds so far (congrats!).

If you are taking any prescription allopathic drugs, may want to revisit those with your doctor and make sure they are not the culprit.

If it continues, may want to go back to your doctor and have them do a CAT or MRI scan and make sure there is no blockage in the intestines.

Has this ever happened before in the past?

Please keep us updated on things, as this information is very helpful to others.

No, it hasn’t happened to me before something like this. It’s my first diet after 2 consecutive birth so maybe something has changed in my body during this 3 years. But I went through a lot of researching, testing and so on. Allergy test, bacteria test, a lot of blood testings. So my sugar lvl is low and ldl cholesterol is a little high, and this is also because of constipation. So doctor said that toxins needs to get out and they did it through my skin. He just gave me something to help intestines. He said that the diet is good and keep it like this and if something like this happens again then I should go back to him.

So about all this stuff on my face! It was horrible, I was scared but you know what? It made me to pass a lot of medical screening and I know I am healthy. I don’t have any serious health problems! And also my skin is getting even better then it was before. I think by the new year I will have a baby face ☺️. Now when I am looking back I am thankful for this, I really had to go through all this to understand how important is my health. “ a healthy mind in a healthy body” - after a couple months it will be about me!

Maybe in the pictures there isn’t showing a lot of progress, but I went shopping a 3rd time because my clothes are getting big. Do you practice any sports activity through this weight loss process and what do you like to do the most? :)

Hi! I have a 3 year and 1 year old kids and nobody whith whom I can leave them while going to gym. All I can is walking with my little one with the stroller. When I try to exercise at home they are jumping on me and doesn’t let me to do anything. I will be able to go to the gym maybe after 6 months, now I am doing my best to lose weight and then I will build a new one!

I believe it is not easy. You have a lot of responsibilities around the children, in addition to household chores, so I understand that it is very difficult to reconcile all the obligations and in addition to dedicate yourself to sports activities.
The only thing you can do is dedicate yourself to your diet.
Along with walking, can you dance to music with your children to help burn more calories? Maybe use time when the children sleep for yoga, pilates, or some sort of cardio workout? Perhaps 30 minutes is enough to start.

  9. Comment #4928

    Hello Maria:

Reposting this here, just in case it got lost in all the recent replies.

Gnosis G. here (yes, different from the Ask Gnosis Team) - you can see my Body Type Quiz #1 profile here: https://www.fellowone.com/fellow-one-research/the-four-body-types/research-participants/research-participant-1-body-type-four-bt4-male-man-generation-x/

I am not on here that often. As an original Body Type Four (BT4), I have dealt with normal weight obesity and obesity all my life, consciously since around 8 to 10 years old. I am 47 now. I struggled in my teens and 20's to lose weight, but once I realized that quality of food matters most and came to understand my body type relative to BMI and BMR, I successfully lost over 100 lbs nearly a decade ago, and have kept it off. My focus has been getting rid of the skinny fat -- cellulite, loose/saggy skin, thin fat, normal weight obesity -- which has not been easy. That is another story, but you can follow the comments on my profile page.

After looking at your Quiz Data:

Your scientifically calculated Standard Mifflin St Jeor Equation BMR (basal metabolic rate), ie. the number of calories daily your body needs for its basic functioning, is 1582.62 calories

Standard Mifflin BMR = 1582.62 (you can see this under FORMR at the top of your Body Type Quiz profile page)

However, your scientifically calculated Adjusted Mifflin St Jeor Equation BMR, which takes into account the skinny fat on your body, is 1457.59 calories. Science currently recognizes that one (1) pound of muscle mass burns 6 calories daily, and one (1) pound of fat mass burns 2-3 calories daily. If you have skinny fat in place of muscle/mass (common on my Body Type Four), then your body requires less calories daily than your Standard Mifflin BMR.

Adjusted Mifflin St Jeor = 1457.59 (you can see this under FORMR at the top of your Body Type Quiz profile page)

According to your Diary, you are averaging around 1275 calories per day. Scientific research shows that a 500 calorie per day deficit is where 1-2 pounds of weight can be lost per week, on average, depending on exercise and extra calories burned.

One reason for your weight loss plateau is likely due to eating too many calories still per day. See if you can get closer to the 500 calorie deficit per day.

    Questions are welcome.

    Sincerely,
    GG

It’s called DWP. It’s a Romanian app, and it’s also easy for me because the recipes are common to my country and the products are easy to find in the shops. I tried to use an American app, and was difficult to find some ingredients like pak choi, even asparagus we don’t have all the time in the shops, avocado also aren’t all the time available. Hello Gnosis:

I have found an old picture of myself where I was 138-143 pounds (63-65 kg). As you can see I have never been skinny but I like how I look here. I would like to get this body back :)… but here is a problem with my skin… when I saw my first stretch marks during first pregnancy I have asked my doctor if I can stop it, she did some kind of test and said I have a low elasticity skin and I can’t do much about it. I got used to it and didn’t paid much attention to it, but now when I am losing weight and I see that in leggings I look a lot skinnier than without clothes I realise that I am facing a new problem. “Skin excess” - Google says I can’t do anything about it. Do you have any advice?

And that is the conundrum. Terms like skinny fat and normal weight obesity are very recent; they did not exist until like 10 years ago.

Of course, they have likely always existed relative to the human body, but without terms/definitions for such things, no one gave them much thought. Until now. Because that is how young our human science really is...how much we have to learn.

Skinny fat exists on human bodies of all ages, including kids, teens, and young adults. For many, it tends to become more noticeable as they age.

      -----------------

As you lose more weight, one of these is the most likely outcomes:

      1) Once within safe BMI weight range, especially towards the lower end, you will look just like a Standard Scientific Human Body Anatomy Book Body Type One (BT1), precisely as mainstream doctors and scientists adamantly say you do.

      or

      2) You will deal with skinny fat on your body, likely widespread. Skinny fat where there should be muscles/muscle mass. There is None/ZERO (0) scientific evidence that shows that the average human body consumes muscles/muscle mass during safe weight loss, nor really in any other case, other than starvation or advanced aging. All indications are that you do not qualify for either of the latter...so, then, where is the muscles/muscle mass?

Perhaps, genetically speaking, the muscles/muscle mass was never there to begin with, and instead, in its place, is skinny fat...

      Where is the muscle(s)?

Building muscles/muscle mass, properly, is the key, but that is not easy. We understand your situation at home which makes getting to the Gym improbable.

      -----------------

      A few ideas:

*Buy a small, quality at-home weightlifting setup, like real barbells or adjustable barbells. Amazon is a good place to start.
      *Calisthenics
      *Pilates

That is the power of what you are doing here, actually providing the real science - the real scientific evidence and facts relative to diet, exercise, and lifestyle, no less.

There is some evidence that contrast showers and cold baths may have some influence on metabolism, which might help with weight loss. One study found that cold-water immersion at 14℃ increased metabolism by 350%. However, data and evidence is very limited and much more research needs to be done.

Contrast showers (alternating between bouts of hot and cold water for a total time of anywhere between five and ten minutes) and cold baths/plunges also have other known health benefits like possibly reducing inflammation, boosting the immune system, activating the sympathetic nervous system (fight or flight) & increasing the hormone noradrenaline (thus, increasing heart rate and blood pressure), improving circulation/blood flow, and reducing pain along with improved mental health, decreased depression, mitigated anxiety, and increased productivity, to name a few.

Anyone can say anything, like they lost weight from contrast showers and cold baths/plunges, but if it is really true, then prove it.

      1. How about you try it and record what happens here on your Profile page; comment about it (Lifestyle -General - Subject: Contrast Showers & Cold Bath/Plunges to Lose Weight Update) and let us — anyone — know what actually happens relative to all your diet, exercise, and lifestyle data.

QUESTION: Do you not think more people would want to know about and do contrast showers and cold baths/plunges if they really do work and lead to real weight loss?

The only way to really know, is to actually prove whether contrast showers and cold baths/plunges do work (or not) to help people lose weight. That is done by recording the real science here. 😃

You are totally right, there is not proven research on the internet, it is why I asked you. I have noticed, you, somehow always come with scientific researches. It is what I like most about your site!

Unfortunately she doesn’t speak English! But I will try it myself. I will start little by little. A few seconds sessions to a few minutes later on…

            👋
So I have tried the contrast showers 3 times a week for 3 and a half weeks and I don’t see any major difference. I have noticed that when getting out I look a little smaller, maybe the skin is tightening a little bit but after a few minutes it’s back. Maybe it’s working that way… but I like it tho, it wakes me up easy… I will continue to do so…

Thank you for the helpful information. Glad you found some usefulness out of it.

Please update again if you notice any significant changes.

Hello, it’s going great. I am receiving a lot of compliments about my weight loss. It’s making me proud of myself. I am really happy that I decided to make this step. How about you? How do you feel so far?

  15. Comment #5050

    Great! 😊

I'm glad to hear that. Compliments are a great motivation to keep working and not give up. Just keep going positive and focused on the goal.

My situation is good, I still have the same weight, which is good.

Are you able to do at least yoga?

No… I have tried to do some exercises “mommy and baby” from YouTube, but I don’t know from where they got such a calm kid for the videos because mine doesn’t want to keep doing the same thing for more then 3 minutes, and when I let her go she is coming back and wants hugs and kisses… some told me: let them cry for a little bit, it’s ok, you have to have your own time, but I can’t let them cry while I am doing my stuff . It’s for a couple months more and I will wait and let the things go slow but in harmony :)

Not all kids are the same. But they are always in the first place. Its what moms do the best.
But exhausting, at such young age for sure. Having time for yourself … a few quiet moments even is not common. So I get that exercise time and energy is not there for you.

You can’t forget about yourself and health though. Until more exercise is an option, a healthy diet is more important.

How do you sleep? Do your children sleep through the night or keep you awake?

They keep me awake… one get scared through the night and calls mom all the time, the little one still eats or drinks through the night, she is only 1 year old. I am totally positive about the process, I have lost nearly 10 kg in less than 2 months, another 10 kg and I will be happy, and I am totally sure I can do it with a good meal plan before summer comes and then I will found a way to exercise…

Sleep with kids so young is hard and I hope you maybe get a nap some days. 😊
Losing 10kg is real success and you should be satisfied.

What meals do you like to prepare..? Is there a traditional meal in your country that most fits into your healthy diet? I am always very curious about new foods to learn!

I am preparing my meals based on an app. I am preparing for whole family. Even my husband lost 7 kg just eating what I eat, but he also have snacks and sweets :)

I would like to share with you one traditional food from my country called Bosanski Lonac.

Goulash is unique in Bosnia and is used in a special way of preparing food. The cooks put large pieces of meat and vegetables in alternating layers until the pot is full. After simmering and cooking for what may seem like an eternity, delicious soup and goulash come as a hearty meal.

If you make this dish, please ask me whatever question you have ... and let me know how it turned out ...

I really do like learning new foods.

Mamaliga looks delicious to me so maybe this one. :)

I have to notice that it has similarities with Bosnian food, for example sarma is a common dish and I really like it.

So boil 1,3 kg water with a table spoon of salt, once boiled pour little by little add 400 g of corn flour ( corn porridge in some countries) while mixing. Make sure to mix while pouring flour so it will not stick. Boil it for 30 minutes on medium fire, and mix periodically then boil it another 15-30 min on little fire as well mixing periodically. That’s it, mamaliga it’s done. It’s pretty much like a porridge. Mamaliga is like a side dish for meat or fish. You can serve it with salty goat cheese and sour cream, it’s the best combination!

Here is a video to watch the process…

  16. Comment #5125

    Hello Maria :)

I tried to make mamaliga and it's great. In Bosnian cuisine we also consume this dish and call it "pura" or "polenta". I'm sorry I didn't take a picture to show you how it turned out.

We haven't heard from each other in a long time. How are you, how are the children and how is the weight loss process going?

      Hello…
I am happy that you liked it, I also did it for my kids today…
I had a big cheat day not so long ago, I got a kg back but after it my weight is going down again very good, I decided to practice it often. Once the weight will stop going down I will have a cheat day. I googled it and looks like when you cheat often the body doesn’t realise that it is on diet, and don’t get use to the low calorie intake.

I also often had cheat days, because sometimes the body simply asks for something sweet and caloric and I think it's ok to give myself a little bit of that pleasure, the trick is not to overdo it :)

I’m glad you’re making progress, I looked at the pictures and there’s a big difference from day one to today. Well done, just keep going.

The situation by me is the same, I gain 1-2 kg, than Iose weight again ... and so on in a circle.
I have to admit that I had more motivation through this program because I always had in my subconscious that I had to present myself in a good light. First for myself, body and health, but also for this program. It would be really pointless to sign up for this program and not work on yourself. So this program was a real motivation for me and I can tell you that I miss it a bit.

Are you happy with this program?

I am really happy, because this is a big stimulation to keep going. I have read in a book about kids that in order to succeed and to do a great job people need to report to someone. We can push ourselves to the best when we have to present our work, homework, projects, etc. to someone. It’s why programs like this always works!

            Yes, I totally agree!

What do you think about calorie counting applications!? I finally found an app that helped me a lot to achieve my daily calorie intake goal and not cross the line. Some apps are accurate more than others.

I found it difficult to make my own recipes based on products calorie so I am following a ready made meal plan in an app. But I already fell like I am getting bored of them so I will have to make my own recipes soon :). What apps do you use for calorie counting?

I used app "MyFitnessPal" and its quite good. It counts everything that is needed for the diary.
I know one of things I have dealt with is cellulite where muscle should be which I think could be genetics. Do you experience more or less cellulite as you lose weight ... or other kinds of skinny fat? Do you think it is more worse now than your younger years?

When I was in my best form I still had cellulite. I think it’s genetic because my sister weight 58 kg and she also has cellulite. Also my mom as I remember always had loose skin and cellulite and even she lost weight the skin was loose. My doctor said it’s irreversible once I got bigger because I have low elasticity lvl of the skin.

I think it's genetics for me, I have cellulite on my thighs ... when I gain weight there is more, but as soon as I lose weight it decreases, and so it is with my mom.

Is cellulite in your family typically in the same place as in my case? In what places does cellulite most often appear in your family?
Do all members of your family have cellulite or some kind of skinny fat?

My mom had, but she mostly was gaining weight on the belly, me and my smaller sister when gaining weight we gain it like everywhere almost equally. My other sister is skinny and so my dad, but even she is skinny she has cellulite on thighs…

  17. Comment #5185

    Hello Maria ☺️,

Can I ask you what do you think what cellulite is? Because you said that your sister is thin but even has cellulite.. i wonder why?
What do you think about why there is cellulite where there should be muscles? What happened to the muscles that are suppose to be there on body, but instead there is cellulite and fat? How does the doctor explain these things?

Doctor explained me that cellulite is the fat under the skin and it isn’t layered uniform but forms groups of cells. Like on one cm may be a group of let’s say 10 cells and the next one only 2 cells and the 3rd 10 cells again and it forms a gap( :::..:::…::.). We all have fat, and we should have but the way it’s layered under skin it’s gives that cellulite look. There is a lot of fat women who doesn’t have cellulite, the fat cells are layered uniform and forms and the skin looks smooth. For me cellulite is that orange peel look.

Hi Maria, it has been some time and I hope you are well. It looks like your weight loss process is going in the right direction. We talked about cellulite and as I suffer from cellulite and ask this myself about my body .. I wonder where the muscle is where I have cellulite? This site has me think about it more seriously and often.

It is true that all bodies have some fat, but some have very little fat like body type ones. I wonder what you think as to why people like you and me have so much cellulite where muscles should be found in the body type one, and some don't. I think this site might be right that genetics are the reason, and it is why it is so hard for me to keep weight off where I have cellulite no matter how hard i work with diet and exercise. I can think of no other reason why. What do you think?

    Subject: Massage Therapy Sessions

I have received a gift certificate for Valentine’s Day. So I am doing massages now, and my weight went up again and doesn’t go down. Can it be because of water retention? I have one more tomorrow and I am done… I don’t really like it… it’s painful 😓…

First, congratulations on all your hard work, progress, and success. Your images from day 1 to day 73 are very impressive.

Yes, message therapy is a very personal thing and some people enjoy it more than others. The massage therapist is also a key variable in things — perhaps you can request a different person and ask them to not be so rough?

Water retention is one possible culprit.

But, keep in mind that one pound of muscle mass burns 6 calories daily, and 1 pound of fat/skinny fat only burns 2-3 calories per day. The more skinny fat — cellulite, thin fat, loose skin, saggy skin, crepey skin, normal weight obesity — that you have on your body, the less robust your metabolism and the more you are likely to see plateaus in weight gain.

As well, the more skinny fat that you have on your body, the harder it likely will be to keep the fat weight off in the long run. Properly building muscles/mass through resistance exercise where there is skinny fat will help, although is by no means easy.

Increasing cardio exercise will help to burn more calories to help you get past plateaus, but, again, we realize this is easier said than done.

Body type matters. Genetics is a tricky thing. But genetic/DNA science is growing, including technologies like CRISPR, so the coming years will be very interesting to watch unfold.

“Now, a research team led by scientists at Harvard University have used the CRISPR-Cas9 gene-editing technology to engineer human white fat so that it displays the properties of brown fat. They believe the advancement will open up the possibility of cell therapies to combat obesity and other metabolic diseases.”

Its great. It could really help with obesity if they will succeed but also I have realised that more progress we made on this point the lazier we become. Now everyone is looking for that magic weight loss pill!

Indeed, too many people succumb to the unrealistic draw of a magic pill or supplement, which does not exist.

Understanding the human body and why body type matters is the key. That and accepting that not all human bodies are the Standard Scientific Human Body Anatomy Book Body Type One (BT1), no matter how adamant mainstream doctors and scientists are that all human bodies are...😁
